Ryan O’Dell

ACTOR / WRITER

 

 

Ryan is a New York based actor and writer currently living in Manhattan. He was so enamored with acting (and film in particular) that he decided to study in Pace University’s BFA Acting for Film, Television, Voice-Overs and Commercials  (FTVC) program.

Upon graduation, he has booked roles in Blue Bloods, Law & Order, Elsbeth, multiple independent films alongside extensive theatre work as a professional. Films he has starred in have played across the country in festivals such as The Soho International Film Festival, Greenpoint Film Festival, Beverly Hills IFF, Manhattan Independent Film Festival, New York Short Film Festival, and many others.

In recent years, he’s begun to branch out into screenwriting and producing his own work, starting with the short film “Stand Up, Please” (the script of which you can download and read below!)

A drug-abuse allegory about two Vampires who discover a way to get rid of their reliance on blood consumption. As they isolate themselves to drown out their addiction, they face the toxicity in their relationship and grapple with the idea of death as it circles all around them.

Ryan stars as one of the leads, Wes.

“The Big Pitch' is a dramatic short film that explores the concepts of friendship, hyper-capitalism, competition, greed, and how they all coincide with the biggest decision a pair of young tech entrepreneurs might ever make - if they want to succeed at all.
